Cardinal Gates solid wood clamps are oversized and 8 inches in width. These spindle or oversized clamps are designed to be used around a set of small or large square posts up to 6 3/4 inches in size and used for  a set of very small spindles or large square posts up to 6 3/8 inches in size. Sold separately from gates.
